Day 6: Budapest by Night

Day 6: Budapest by Night

When I decided to add Budapest to my cities to travel to, I was admittedly uncertain and unable to verbalise why. I had heard lots of wonderful things about it, but many of those came from people who loved to party. Don't get me wrong, I love a good night out, but it is not the only reason I want to travel to a city.

She did not disappoint.

I'm pretty sure I fell a little more in love every corner I walked around, and every street I discovered. I think though, the first time I properly met her was at night.
After returning from a trip to the parliament building, and an impromptu church service at St Stephen's Basilica,  a headachey and tired me had planned to curl up and spend the night sleeping. Greeted by smiling faces in the dining room at my hostel, I was soon instead playing cards and drinking cider with my hosts and new friends. One thing lead to another and we were soon wandering across the bridge and up towards the Citadel.
